Continuum Mechanics

Continuum mechanics is a branch of mechanics that treats matter as a continuous, infinitely divisible medium rather than discrete particles.

Learning Resources
Bone Biomechanics

Bone biomechanics is the study of how bone responds to mechanical forces and loads, considering both the material properties of bone and its structural organization.

One of my MSc students, Zahra Mohammadi-Azad’s thesis entitled “Comparison between the pull-out force of a tooth stabilized by reconstructed periodontium tissue and that of a natural tooth”, was selected by ICBME 2024 (Iranian Conference on Biomedical Engineering) as the Best MSc Thesis in Biomechanics in Iran

A PhD thesis done under my supervision by Dr. A. Ghouchani entitled "Introducing a biomechanical criterion for the reconstruction of cavities produced after curettage of giant cells tumor: Finite element analysis and in-vitro cadaveric tests" was recognized as "Distinguished PhD Thesis in Biomedical Engineering in Iran" by the ICBME2020 (Iranian Conference on Biomedical Engineering, Nov. 2020)

An abstract entitled “How large should be a distal femoral tumorous defect to necessitate taking fracture prophylactic actions?: In-vitro and in-silico investigation”, from my former PhD student, Dr. A. Ghouchani, submitted to the ISB/ASB 2019, was short listed for a prestigious award, i.e. for the David Winter Young Investigator Award
